Trish Segal, LCSW

Hello, and nice to meet you! I received my Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Saint Joseph and Masters in Social Work from the University of Connecticut with a concentration in Mental Health and Substance Abuse. I developed my clinical skills throughout my experience providing individual and group therapy in a variety of settings, including in-home, outpatient, and inpatient levels of care.
Working across the continuum of clinical mental health services has allowed me to develop an eclectic approach to therapy. I want to meet you where you’re at! During our work together, I may utilize modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solutions-Focused therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I will also be able to offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) by early 2023.
I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and difficulty navigating stress and life transitions. I also love partnering with folks to practice more effective communication skills and set healthy boundaries. I believe in the power of humor, compassion, and the therapeutic relationship to help promote healing and transformation. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, to best work with your schedule.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching comedy specials, baking muffins, and running after my kids!
