Education and Experience
I earned my BA in theater from Point Park University in 2010. After discovering my passion for helping others through my own mental health journey, I completed my master's in counselor education with a focus on clinical mental health counseling from Central Connecticut State University in 2023. In my experience as a therapist, I have provided strength-based, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and LGBTQ+ affirming care to individuals, families, and groups across the lifespan. In 2024, I completed EMDR therapy training through the Institute of Creative Mindfulness.
My Approach to Therapy
While it's natural to avoid pain and hardship, I believe that facing our challenges with courage and compassion leads to profound healing. Inspired by Rumi's words, "The wound is the place where light enters you," I help clients transform their pain into opportunities for growth. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings while connecting with their inner strengths. Having experienced the power of therapy personally, I would be honored to support you on your healing journey.
"Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars." - Khalil Gibran
